"To Gillian On Her 37th Birthday" is a story of love, loss and
letting go. David is still in love with his wife Gillian who
died two years before in a tragic accident. He has cut himself off from the world, retreating with his sixteen year old daughter to the island, where she died. There he continues to converse with his dead wife on the lonely beach. On the anniversary of Gillian's death, Gillian's sister Esther and her husband Paul bring a surprise guest to the island in an attempt to reengage David in the world he has left
behind.
