AUDITIONS for WONDER OF THE WORLD - April 7 and April 9
MAP will hold auditions for our hilarious summer play, David Lindsay-Abaire's
Wonder of the World, on Monday April 7th and Wednesday April 9th, from 7 to
9 pm here at the Amato Center. This comedy tells the story of Cass, who
flees her mundane life after discovering a bizarre secret in her husband's
sweater drawer. Her zany odyssey of self-discovery takes her to Niagara
Falls, where she meets a colorful assortment of misfits on her way to
solving the mystery of her own life's meaning. Be a part of this phenomenal
production!
Wonder of the World was performed as a staged reading last year, and many of
the actors were able to accept the option to take their roles to the
mainstage. So, we are casting for 3 roles, and the selected actors will be
working with NH theatre luminaries Mari Keegan, Maria Barry, Vick Bennison,
and Laurie Torosian, and directed by Kevin Riley.
Characters needed:
Cass Harris - female, 30s, the fleeing wife with a long "things to-do in
life list"
Kip Harris - male, 30s, Cass's husband, a really nice guy with a really
strange hobby
Captain Mike - male, 30s, upstanding pilot of the Maid of the Mist tour boat
Please have a prepared monologue of no more than 1 minute, your choice.
If you have questions, please call director Kevin Riley at 603-880-0243 or
email him at KPRiley7@aol.com. Play production dates are July 18 to 27,
2008 (two weekends).
